People’s Budget Tool

How do you want St. Louis City to spend your money? We developed this simplified version of St. Louis City's proposed General Fund budget for Fiscal Year 2023 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023) so that you can see exactly how your tax dollars will be spent.

Make your own alternative budget, then share with your alder, friends, and networks! Your money, your voice.

We seek divestment from institutions that harm, surveil, incarcerate, and kill Black & Brown communities. We seek investment into what actually makes us safe.

Statement on Downtown Public Safety

On September 14th, Mayor Tishaura Jones announced that her administration will increase the police presence in downtown St. Louis in response to recent reports of violence and disruption. We oppose this approach because we have seen that doubling down on increased policing endangers vulnerable St. Louisans instead of keeping our communities safe.

We call on Mayor Jones and her administration to stand firm in her earlier commitments to reject the status quo, and to repudiate the idea that more police equals more safety.
